Lip Stabilisation ‘Gummy Smile’ Treatment
Some people can be very self-conscious when they show too much gum while smiling. This can cause them to consciously restrict their smiles, affecting their freedom to express happy moods. Gummy smiles can be easily corrected using an injection of botulinum toxin, which reduces the power of the muscles that pull the lip upwards so that the lip becomes ‘stabilised’ and the patient can smile in an unrestricted way.
